Community Health Status Survey

The Collaborative initiated the first Community Health Status Survey 10 years ago, in 1996. It was the first community-wide survey to assess health behaviors, health concerns, and perceptions of important issues such as access, quality and cost of health services in the area. The 100+ question survey of 2,454 people throughout the Tristate provides important baseline information.

Since 1996 it has been conducted every three years, with the fourth such survey completed in 2005. Results were distributed in Spring 2006.

The Health Foundation of Greater Cincinnati has funded each of the surveys and has been a partner in the last three. Now, as the Collaborative eventually does with most of its projects, the survey has been integrated into the community, as it has been handed off to the Health Foundation. Additionally, because measurable shifts in community health take a considerable amount of time, the survey will be conducted every five years instead of every three.

While no longer a Collaborative project, we will continue to support the Health Foundation for future surveys. Click here to access the current report.
